Bell peppers are vibrant and crisp vegetables featuring a spectrum of colors including red, yellow, orange, green, and sometimes purple, adding a rainbow of hues to any dish. Their thick, juicy walls encase a hollow core filled with edible seeds and a mild, sweet flavor with just a hint of earthiness. Bell peppers are celebrated for their crunchy texture when raw, making them a delightful addition to salads, veggie trays, and slaws. When roasted or sautéed, their sweetness intensifies, and the flesh becomes tender, perfect for fajitas, stir-fries, and stuffed pepper recipes. Rich in vitamins A and C, bell peppers offer a boost of nutrients along with their color and taste, proving to be as healthy as they are versatile.

About the Producer
McClellan Organics was established in 2008 by Bryan McClellan and his wife Katie. The farm consists of 352 acres certified organic. Both grew up in agricultural families and wanted to carry on the farming tradition for future generations. After years of learning about organic farming and developing a great appreciation for it, they started the business venture of McClellan Organics. Although they started out small, the farm has quickly grown and now offers a wide assortment of certified organic fruits and vegetables. After having their children Reed and Corinne, and because of the continued growth of the farm, Katie, who initially continued her profession as a speech therapist, now works full time on the farm as book/record keeper. Growing organically is not always easy and has its challenges like anything else. However, Brian and Katie have learned to embrace those challenges to provide a product that is better for us to consume and is beneficial to our environment. They take pride in contributing to the health and well being of others while preserving the land for future generations and hope you enjoy eating our produce as much as we enjoy growing it! Explore >
